Beg to differ

For anyone who has been number watching.

"It included Volodymyr Vecherko, head of the Ukranian part of the EU-Ukraine inter-parliamentary committee and an MP for the Party of Regions, the party of Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych.

With over 90 per cent of the votes counted, the Party of Regions was leading with 44.49 per cent." (EUpolitix)

What the ? At 90% PoR was at PRU 33.49 (6,748,936) (Thank u Taras!)

-------------------------

"She (Tymoshenko) has not toyed with the idea of entering a coalition with her enemies, as did Mr Yushchenko, or tried to change her image, like Mr Yanukovich." (Economist)

First part was never confirmed by any official sources (and has been denied) while the second is negated by the makeover which included learning Ukrainian, new haircolor and up-do.

Actually, there is an article at UNIAN which says that Tymoshenko is claiming that PoR's 34% is inflated.

I don't know how she squares that with the exit polls.

Elmer,

Exit polls are fixed too - note the variation between various polls - too much for statistical error.

Also, it appears that the communist and socialist blocs were siphoning off votes from PUR and to that extent, the PUR number is way high.

Consider the crowds that Tymo was attracting in Yanucks backyard and that is the best indicator. It possible her real number is closer to 40%
