New Fiction Featuring Ukrainians?

Does anyone know if the book A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian is any good? Guess I should sit down and listen to the NPR interview with the author, though they seem to title the interview as if it were a non-fiction policy study.

It's not about tractors and it's not in Ukrainian. It's about a slightly crazy Ukrainian family living in England, and what happens when a glamorous blonde from Ukraine turns up and marries their recently widowed 84 year old father. But it's also about he family's history, their lives in pre-war Ukraine, and their journay to England. It's funny and sad. It's been shortlisted for the Orange prize for Fiction, and selected for BBC Page turners.
