Yeehaw, Cheap Furniture

According to this article in the Moscow Times, Ukraine is getting an Ikea. They aren't saying when yet, though.

The details:

  • $300 million project
  • 170,000-square-meter Mega Mall
  • On the road between Boryspil airport and Kyiv
  • Ikea store, plus a Ramstore supermarket and an OBI do-it-yourself store
  • 5x the size of Ukraine's largest existing shopping center

Bring on the cheap wooden shelves and Swedish meatballs!

Good news, indeed! I hope it will be soon. (Though the meatballs are terrific, don't forget about the jars of lingonberry and ginger cookies.)
