WARNING - Faux-Opposition Scam
Look out for these BIG SCAMS.
The following sites, which I will reproduce without links, just so I don't inadvertently lend them any credibility, are attempting to steal your money by copying legitimate Ukrainian opposition sites. To read the details, go to this article on Maidan.org. (a huge thanks to Ron C. for pointing me to the article and for pointing out my great error)
(www).2advantage.net - when I tested the site connection, it looked like it connected directly to the Yushchenko official site. The Yushchenko people said that the site has imitated the Yushchenko format, so this may only be the author's attempt at creating a facsimile to fool us with. However, the address in the title bar is the official Yushchenko one, perhaps they've been able to squish this thief.
(www).orange-revolution.com - I am really embarrassed about this one because it was on my list of blogs. I got a comment on one of my pages saying someone had linked to me and asking me to check out the site. I thought the pictures were great, so I added the link. It turns out that the donation link on the site connects somewhere unknown, but the money isn't going to the opposition. I didn't even notice the donation link when I checked out the site, nor did I add it to my donation section, but I still might have unwittingly sent people there to get scammed. I express my sincere apologies to anyone I've mislead in this matter.
