Goodby Cabinet of Ministers, Goodbye Yanukovych

Late-Breaking Politics

The late breaking news as of 1pm Ukraine time: Yanukovych has just been fired as PM (sorry only the Russian language link right now). The Cabinet of Ministers has also been fired. Lytvyn has been given authority under the vaguely defined role as head of the "Narodniy Uriad" a new government formation. Kuchma is still in charge as President.

Things are sketchy, but the opposition considers this a big step forward. It is a step forward into a vague gray zone, but it is a step forward.

Business and Economics

By Obozrevatel's count, there are 27,000 companies in the strike against the election fraud.  On the ground, some banks are working relatively normally (AVAL seems to be) some banks are taking in money but not disbursing it. Some (incl. PrivatBank) are monitoring all large transactions. November salaries are sketchy, and some businesses are really struggling.
