This is just a short journal entry to let you know I'm alive.

First a bit of administration, please note my section "New Pictures". They are new as of Sunday, and I will probably add some more tomorrow, at which time I will distribute the current files in the "new pics" folder out among other folders. If you haven't already, take a look before they get disbursed.

Here are the most common slogans and cheers from the Chestnut Revolution. The protesters shout them during the rallies and in front of the Parliament building, the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Minister's building, the Secret Police Headquarters...

Ющенко - Yushchenko!

Так! - "Yes" in Ukrainian and also the slogan of Yushchenko's campaign ("So" in Russian) Yanukovych's major campaign slogan was "тому що" which means "because".

Кучму геть! - Kuchma, out!

Банду геть! - Gang, out!

Свободу не спинити - Freedom cannot be stopped

Нас багато і нас не подолати - We are many and we cannot be defeated

ганьба! - my favorite slogan, it means "shame!" or "for shame!" only it's stronger and meatier in Ukrainian. (позор! for you Russian speakers)
